Abstrakt
The text seeks to define and develop criteria for assessing subregional co-operation of Central European neighbouring countries. The authors explain the development of Austria's relations with the country's (Eastern) neighbours and describe the debate on 'Mitteleuropa'.
This analysis based on a brief historical excursion and recent empirical indicators of factual co-operation, showing plenty of rhetoric but only limited delivery.
