Abstract
The study analyses the attitude of the Czech historiography towards the period of 1945-1948 in the 1970s. It stressed that the interpretation of the three-year after-war period was to the large extend influenced by the development in the Czechoslovakia in the second half of the 1960s.
Historiography, having supported the process of so called normalization, saw striking and dangerous parallel between the periods of 1945-1945 and 1967-1969.
