Abstract
This is an essay on kinship between Romany and the Old Indic, illustrated by means of several lexical examples, denoting well known Indian phenomena such as: Kamasutra, Himalayas, Punjab, Goddess Kali, rupee etc. Some Romany words have the same origin.
