Abstrakt
On the basis of the contacts of the chancellor of Charles IV., Johannes Noviforensis, with Italian intellectuals, mainly with Petrarca, and of his activities, the author deals with his interest in the ancient culture and with the penetrating of the Italian cultural influence into the Czech environment.
