Abstract

Critical analysis of Czech translation of the short story “Airship” (Feiting) by the contemporary Chinese writer Mo Yan (1955), a holder of Nobel Prize in Literature 2012. The article focuses on translation problems related to Mo Yan’s peculiar literary style and provides an assessment of solutions to these problems used by the author of the Czech translation Denis Molčanov.
