John Sembera Czernohorsky of Boskovice / 1543 - 1597 / was an important Moravian nobleman, the last male descendant of the Lords of Boskovice. During his life Sembera gained a respectable property, primarily through the inheritance from the childless relatives.

Sembera himself had only two daughters who, as only heirs, have become very perspective brides. Older Anne Marie married Karl of Lichtenstein while her father was still alive, the younger Catherine his younger brother Maximilian quite soon after Sembera's death.

Both marriages were highly important for the Liechtenstein brothers, especially financially but also symbolically. It followed the long tradition of mutual marriages between the two families, which was completed by the takeover of the Boskovice's estate and also its legacy.
