Changes in the coefficient of thermal expansion of AZ31 alloy and composite AZ31+3 vol.% SiC nanoparticles during temperature loading

Abstract

Specimens prepared from AZ31 alloy and AZ3+SiC composite were temperature loaded in dilatometer. Temperature dependencies of the elongation, CTE and residual stresses were obtained.

The influence of pre-deformation in compression was investigated as well as the influence of the temperature treatment of specimens.
