The autumn of 2003 was the first time since 1989 when there was a separate chemical education PhD programme in Czech Republic. In other words, it took 14 whole years to successfully transform the original scientific preparation in this discipline into the currently accepted PhD study.
It was a three-year study programme Education in Chemistry, accredited at the Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague. In 2007, the Faculty of Science at Palacký University in Olomouc got the accreditation as well.
