In this paper the author is asking the qustion: How are young people in various forms of alternative care (children´s homes and educational institutions) prepared for leaving these institutional systems? The principal task of the institutional care should become the full integration leading to the adequate life in the society. The author also mentions some solutions of the process of social integration, some selected problems connected with the leaving of young people the system of the alternative care, and describes in a few words the state of services of the subsequent care.
In the conclusion there are some suggestions of changes in the system of the subsequent care.
