Abstract
This chapter was newly added to the third edition of the book. Laboratory methods in medical microbiology dealing with diagnostical approaches of human infection diseases: characterization of causative agents of the infections, clinical symptoms and signs, isolation and preparation of relevant material for specialized microbiological investigation, therapy the diseases.
