Abstract
Specialized map shows the typology of municipalities in the suburban area of Prague according to their previous long-term population development. In addition to trends in post-socialist development, also the main trends in the metropolitan area since the inception of Prague as the capital of an independent Czechoslovakia in the 20th century are taken into account.
The aim of the typology is to identify the potential of the settlement system in the immediate hinterland of Prague.
