Abstract

Faunistic data on pseudoscorpions from the Lower Morava Biosphere Reserve and adjacent localities are presented. In total, 1601 specimens of pseudoscorpions were collected in this area.

This material, together with the previously published data, comprises 23 species from 7 families. New localities for the rare species Allochernes peregrinus Lohmander, 1939, Apocheiridium ferum (Simon, 1879), Chernes cimicoides (Fabricius, 1793), Chernes similis Beier, 1932, Larca lata (Hansen, 1884) and Mesochelifer ressli (Linné, 1758) were found during this study.

The number of pseudoscorpion species in the Lower Morava Biosphere Reserve is the highest known for any locality in the Czech Republic, and reflects the unique position of this region for biodiversity.
