Abstract

Petr Codicillus of Tulechova († 1589), a humanist, mathematician, professor and rector of the university of Prague is involved in religious disputes the second half of the 16th century in the Czech lands. He was the author of several documents that addressed the emperor, which demanded the restoration of the rights of Prague University.

He was also the co-author of the new church order (1575). He is also famous for issuing Latin poems and university calendars.
