Changes in Fertility and Death Rates in the Largest Czech and Slovak Cities

Abstract

Reproductive behavior of the Czech and Slovak population, including the largest cities as a center spread of this behavior, in the last quarter century has changed significantly. On the one hand, declining the intensity of mortality especially in middle and old age; on the other hand, the intensity of fertility is decreasing below the restorative peace.

The result of these trends is the growing process of demographic aging with all its consequences.
