Abstract
Inflammation of the ileocaecal area is classically connected with Crohn's disease, but a wide variety of diseases is associa-ted with inflammation in this region. These include other mflammatory bowel diseases, infections, spondyloarthro-pathies, drug-related enteritis, infiltration (e.g. eosinophil enteritis), post-irradiation enteritis, endometriosis, celiac disease and vasculitis.
