Abstract

Alcohol can cause the cancer to several mechanisms itself as a solvent carcinogens. Metabolite acetaldehyde is a carcinogen with a mutagenic effect on the DNA.

During metabolism of ethanol produced reactive oxygen and nitrogen, inducing a number of changes in cell metabolism. Furthermore, there are changes in the metabolism of folate, alteration of DNA methylation changes in oxidation of retinoic acid, the immune system.
