Marina Tsvetaeva – dialogue with a Czech reader

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2013

Abstract

Translation of whichever artistic text is understood as one of most important perception aspects and intercultural communication ways. Due to that foreign-language work enters a new culture sphere.

Although Marina Tsvetaeva was fairly close to the Czech culture, she, as an author, started being translated into Czech language more often in sixties of the XX. century. Translation into Czech language wiped out its typical features as her work was very difficult from both content and formal style to translate.

Because of this translation gains Tsvetaeva’s poetry very different form which is rather remote from the original.
