Abstract
This study underlines mutual communication, communicative relationship between the doctor and the patient, employment of a right word. In the religious sense it is the vitalizing power of God’s word; as far as the philosophy of a word is concerned it is the question of power of the word itself which is much more than a mere instrument for objective communication.
The study explores various healing aspects of different functions of language, especially the cognitive and relational function.
