Abstract
The aim of this paper is to describe the architecture of the Mandaean sanctuary in the context of other ritual buildings and to explain its symbolical and practical meaning. The author describes the construction of the Mandaean sanctuary in the Australian diaspora and depicts its importance for the present-day community.
