Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death in industrialized countries, in women as well as in men. This review article deals with the differences in epidemiology, clin ical presentation , diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular dieses in women.
Mentioned significant differences between men and women should be taken into account in the care of women with known or suspected disease.
