Abstract
The article deals, focusing on the Coffin texts, with the concept of the magical power of words, writing and language in ancient Egypt with its connection with the knowledge and their remembering, as well as with the role of the linguistic and pictorial value of the hieroglyphic script in the interpretation of the religious and magical texts.
