Abstract
In June 2013, in the castle Luzany was awarded the Czech Literary Fund Prizes for the social sciences and Price Josef Hlávek for scientific literature. In the field of medical sciences won the award authors for book "Revision total hip arthroplasty".
This monography is unique in both its comprehensiveness and timeliness; frequency of revision surgery of hip replacements is increasing with the way patients live for a comprehensive lifetime replacements, but unfortunately also with the appearance of some structural or material deficiencies.
