Abstract
An update on the laboratory diagnostics in hepatology is provided, with special focus on methods used routinely in clinical biochemistry. In addition, dynamic tests (including breath tests), as well as serological tests used for diagnosis of viral hepatitis, as well as tests used in clinical immunology for diagnosis of autoimmune liver diseases are described in detail.
