Exceptionally large (length ~ 200 m, width up to ~45 m) body of Grt-bearing hyperpotassic granulite was discovered in forest on ridge of Mt. Kleť (1083 m a.s.l.), 1.3 km NW of Kokotín solitary house (Blanský les Granulite Massif, southern Bohemia).
The mineral and whole-rock geochemical data strongly resemble the already known occurrences of Grt- (Plešovice) and Di-bearing (Lhotka) hyperpotassic granulites from the same massif. The current study indicates that these exotic and genetically interesting rocks could have been largely overlooked during the 1:25 000 mapping campaign and thus may be more widespread than thought previously.
