The conception of the new model of clinical school in the undergraduate teacher training - research suggestions

Abstract

The article presents approaches to building a model of a clinical school in the process of undergraduate training of future teachers. We also suggest means of testing the model and directions of further research.

The proposal is based on models of clinical schools abroad, and is especially designed to test progressive teaching methods and offer grounds for innovative training of future teachers at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Charles University in Prague. The planed research focuses on the influence of the clinical school on the development of future teachers' professional skills.

Progressive teaching methods to be studied at the clinical school include "team-classes", cooperation of university and primary-school teachers, and proposals on connecting the theory and practice of teacher training.
