STUDENT-TEACHERS' EMPATHY FOR PUPILS' THINKING PROCESSES WHEN SOLVING PROBLEMS

Abstract

The paper presents preliminary results of an ongoing research carried out in cooperation of two institutions - Charles University in Prague and University of Ostrava. The aim of the research is to study the phenomenon of teachers' empathy and thus influence a teacher's teaching style and to improve quality of mathematics education.

The research should also verify the research and educational potential of a used tool - the Method of Combined Discussion.
