Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the level of multi-choice reaction speed of the lower limbs in school-aged boys by the age of the individual. Comparison of the multi-choice reaction speed probands undergoing sport training with probands sport passive.

Testing attended primary school children aged 10 to 15 years (n = 66, height 163.8±24.5cm, weight 52.9±33.2), which were divided into three age groups and also into two groups according to sport activity. In this study we tested the multi-choice reaction speed of thelower limbs on the device FiTRO Agility Check.

To determine the statistical significance of differences between age and sport groups ANOVA was used. The significance level was set to 0.05.

Research shown that boys 10 to 15 years have a significant correlation between age and the level of complex reaction speed (816.3±84.7 for 10-11 years, 764.5±82.5 for 12 to 13 years and 700.9±72.1 aged 14-15 years). Athletes (741.9±91.3) achieved a faster multi-choice reaction speed than non-athletes (774.4±91.2), but the difference was not statistically significant.
