Hearing disorder is a sensoric defect, which occurs relatively quite often. It has serious health and socioeconomic impacts.
A classification of various types of hearing disorders is described. According to the fact, that a majority of hearing problems can be treated effectively, it is of utmost importance to diagnose them early, especially in a low age, when, due to a hearing loss, speech and language development can be deteriorated.
It is explained, how screening of hearing disorders is realized and how the disorders themselves are examined. At the end, various contemporary methods of treatment of hearing losses are described, both conservative and surgical.
