Abstract
Preface to the translation of the originally Swedish language article written by Donald Broady (Uppsala University) Inledning: en verktygslåda för studier av fält (Introduction: a set of tools for field studies), published in 1998 as an introduction to a collection of articles Kulturens fält (Cultural fields; Daidalos, Göteborg). The co-authors of the collection aimed at using of the methodological arsenal, offered by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu in his studies, on their own research material.
