Abstract
Book deals with personality of Joseph Hlouch. It describes the life of the ninth bishop of České Budějovice, his childhood, studies and pastoral activities.
The book follows his struggle with the communist regime and his internment in inside and outside the diocese of České Budějovice. The publication quotes eyewitnesses and Hlouch´s texts.
The book is supplemented by photographs and a chronological overview. The book introduced us one of the important personalities of the persecuted Catholic Church in the time of communism.
