Abstract
The necessity of early diagnosis and early treatment of thyroid disorders in pregnancy should be a duty for involved medical doctors. The cost-benefit of such approaches has been proved by several recent studies.
As the thyroid disease, esp. hypothyroidism is mostly asymptomatic in pregnancy, the autor recomends thyroid screening to all pregnant women.
