Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Law |
2013

Abstract

The collective monograph deals with Indemnification in international law. Compensation is a topic that in international law very classic, yet extremely modern and up to date.

Classical dimension is bound to restitution and compensation as a form of reparation obligations, the main content component Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful conduct. In contrast, the current dimension that the doctrine of international law is only beginning to map relates to the claims of non-state actors, particularly individuals to compensation.

Here it is necessary to distinguish between the regimes for the protection of human rights agreements on investment protection, where there is already a firmer legal basis, compensation and other cases where legal base yet stabilized. The publication is the outcome of specific university research grant of Charles University No. 266404 Indemnification in international law.
