The new records of cirripeds from nearshore / shallowwater locality at Velim (the Kolín area, Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Upper Cenomanian/ Lower Turonian)

Abstract

The five species of cirripeds from nearshore/shallow-water locality at Velim was described. We discussed geological settings, history of fi eld works at locality Velim and anatomy, morphology, systematic palaeontology, palaeocology, taphonomy and stratigraphical distribution of lepadomorph cirripeds and history of researchs of fossil cirripeds from the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (BCB).

Two species have not been identified in the BCB until now – Zeugmatolepas sp. and Smilium? parvulum WITHERS from locality Velim – Skalka.
