Abstract

Climacteric medicine is the branch of border monitoring changes in the female organism associated with estrogen deficiency and the possibilities of their prevention and treatment. Given the aging population is a branch of medicine necessary to maintain the quality of life.

The book provides a brief overview of the basic questions climacteric medicine - introduces the studies committed to the impact of the different treatment modalities for acute menopausal syndrome , urogenital atrophy and osteoporosis as a major area of expression of the estrogen deficiency , dealing with issues of risk and therapy also discusses controversial topics influence of hormone replacement therapy on cardiovascular system, age-related eye disease , colorectal cancer and degenerative nervous system diseases and dementia. Special chapters are devoted to individual drugs hormone replacement therapy , group stears and alternatives to hormone treatment.

The final chapter presents the interfaces of current world and our recommendations for action in climacteric medicine.
