Four Coins of Military Emperors from the Collection of Classical Coins of Charles University in Prague

Abstract

Three unknown and unpublished coins, plus one overstruck coin, have been detected by the author in 2006–2007 during his work on his theses in the collection of the Charles University in Prague, the section of coins struck under the so-called military Emperors (AD 235–284). These specimens are represented by one sestercius and one silver plated antoninianus struck under Gordianus III and one antoninianus struck under Herennius Etruscus, plus one antoninianus struck under Valerianus II.
