Aclidinium bromide - new long-acting anticholinergic drug

Abstract

The article describes the principles of use of anticholinergics in patients with COPD, in accordance with recent recommendations ČPFS for treating this disease. Aclidinium bromide, a new anticholinergic approved in the U.S. and EU for the treatment of patients with COPD.

The article summarizes the results of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies to justify its rapid onset of action and good safety features.
