Abstract
The item of the article deals with the project "The Database of Language Mistakes in Czech Made by Speakers Whose Native Language is Another Slavic Language" (Charles University), which presents typical mistakes of Ukrainian speakers learning Czech as a foreign language. Why do the Ukrainians learn Czech, and in which ways? What are the difficulties they encounter during their learning? Where is a source of their most frequent and persistant mistakes? The author hopes to answers these questions in her analytical review of learners' essays and questionnaires.
