This paper focuses on the orally transmitted stories of the relationship between the two famous Mongolian literates - Danzanravjaa, the Fifth Noyon Khutagt of the Gobi (1803 - 1856), and Agvaandandar Lkharamba of Alashaa (1759-1840) and follows the traces of the origin of the Mongolian drama "The Story of Moon Cuckoo".
