The prevention of alcohol use is an integrative part of wider concept of risk behaviour. School prevention has been developed for many years but during recent times we can observe and significant improvement a cross the world.
In the Czech Republic there were conducted several different research projects that tested some interesting preventive interventions and was created an original concept of complex preventive intervention for elementary school, incl. quality standards and certification system and 4-level model for assessment of professionals in this field. Core of the complex intervention covers 3 components: general conditions (frame) for safety and supportive school, set of life-skills interventions (covers self-management and social skills) and interventions specifically targeted on particular type of risk behaviour, incl. alcohol use.
