The effects of stress on galanin peptide system in the rat pituitary: expression of mRNA and immunohistochemistry of galanin receptor subtypes
Abstrakt
In our study with the immunohistochemistry procedure, we clearly demonstrated that AH expresses all GalR subtypes. The specificity of the reaction was confirmed by the Western Blot.
The effect of restraint stress revealed statistical increase of GalR2 receptor subtype with the increase of the number of positive cels as well as the specific signal density. Using RT qPCR we have also demonstrated the presence of all three GalR subtypes with the highest expression of GalR2. .
