Modulated surface of single-layer graphene controls cell behavior

Abstract

The effect of different surface treatment of graphene on early osteoblast adhesion and thein proliferation was studied. The hydrophobic graphene enhanced cell proliferation whereas hydrophilic graphene was comparable to standard tissue culture plastic, which means also very good.
