Ludwig Blum (1891-1974) was born in Brno-Lisen, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and after World War II ended his studies by Professor Franz Thiele at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He was known primarily large-format panoramic views of Jerusalem.
In Czechoslovakia he exhibited after his departure to Palestine several times. The greatest success was his major exhibition organized at the House of Artists in Brno in 1925.
