Abstract

The book describes the methodology of textual analysis in the context of social sciences. It covers three types of text analysis, which are most commonly used in the social sciences: content, discourse, and narrative analysis.

Organizing axis of the book is the question of the reader since no text can be analyzed without being read. In the perspective of the reader's duality author explains the three above-mentioned text-analytic approaches and illustrates them with the specific research examples.
