Abstract
Seminar on the theoretical foundations of foreign of foreign language didactics. The meeting was devoted to the issues of didactics of foreign languages as a field of study and its position within the framework of pedagogical sciences.
The seminar was divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, the speakers were dealing with the concept of foreign language didactics.
In the practical part, they presented the results of the analysis of research topics and problems Czech authors have to face in the area of foreign language didactics (compared with the situation abroad).
