The paper treats the institution of identity as an inherent aporia lingering in between of inhabitable, wounding and empty positions. It proceeds to ask the question whether the notion of „aporia― has to be necessarily understood only in the sense of a „lack of path―.
In contemplating these issues, the paper makes use of the reading of literary texts by three Czech authors, B. Hrabal, S.
Richterová and M. Součková through the lenses of Lacanian, Derridean and Butlerian thinking.
