Effect of anaesthesia on blood loss during total hip joint replacement

Abstract

A blood loss in patients with total hip joint replacement was not influenced by the type of anaesthesia (general versus subarachnoid). The operation lasting more than 100 min. was connected with significantly greater blood loss.
