On coupling cellular automata based activation and finite element muscle model applied to heart ventricle modelling

Abstrakt

Propagation of excitation waves in a model of dog heart was simulated using a cellular automaton model, and coupled with model of muscle cells, resulting in numerical simulation of ventricular contraction.
