Numerical and experimental aspects of arterial wall modelling

Abstrakt

The presented model of tunica media consists of active fibres, representing smooth muscle cells, embedded in the amorphous matrix that is reinforced by the passive fibres (collagen and elastin). Numerical examples of the model are demonstrated.
