Neuropathic pain. Main causes and pharmacologic management

Abstract

Neuropathic or neurogennic pain can be considered primarily peripheral or central in origin. An overview of neuropathic pain syndromes is presented, characteristic symptoms and signs, pathophysiologic mechanisms and pharmacotherapy.
