A case study on peritoneal dialysis with biocompatible peritoneal dialysis fluid: increase in submesothelial compact zone thickness but not vessel density

Abstrakt

Even short-term peritoneal dialysis with a biocompatible fluid could be associated with peritoneal membrane thickening. This is the first case reporting that this solution does not necessarily stimulate angiogenesis in humans and that the thickening precedes potential angiogenesis.
